Photos Nouveau Vague

The artistic images of Karen Steenwinkel aren't a lucky shot. The photo style, 'Nouveau Vague' has been made by intentional camera movement technique (ICM) and she has been using this technique since 2009 where she started to capture the Italian scenery in the rain. By using her camera with a long shutter speed it is as if the camera is a paint brush, this way you get a more dynamic and emotional image.

The images you see here are all an outcome of the collaboration with Jolanda, mostly Jolanda makes textile installation or dresses which Karen photographs.
